Cubes vs. Spheres makes physics fun again
Great gameplay and superb graphics make Cubes vs. Spheres a must-buy game
Are you looking for a great new game that isn't hard to learn, is a ton of fun, and will make you smile while you burn through your battery? I think we've found one with Cubes vs. Spheres. The premise is super simple -- you are inside a circle in a uncomfortably white room, and cubes are rolling (as well as a 6-sided cube can roll, anyway) toward you. Your job is to keep them away by flicking balls at them. When the balls hit them, they explode in a satisfying shower of particles. If more than three cubes cross inside your circle, the game is over and you've lost.
Just because it's simple doesn't mean it's not fun as hell, though. The gameplay gets pretty frantic. There are assorted blocks that vary in how easy or hard they are to destroy (the invisible ones are rough), and you use points earned by playing to buy power-ups (exploding spheres, anyone?) to handle them all. The game physics are great. The faster you flick the balls the faster and further they fly, and the bouncing balls and blocks interact with the scenery just like you think they should.
Most importantly, to me anyway, are the game controls. I hate games that have too many buttons and thing-a-ma-bobs to press and swipe just to play. Cubes vs. Spheres has none of that. It's simply swiping and tapping, you play it with one finger. This makes it perfect for a wide variety of devices, from a small 4-inch screen up to a full sized 10-inch tablet. Cubes vs. Spheres is just as fun on my Nexus 4 as it is on my Nexus 7, and that's something not every game can pull off.

Opera 11.10 gets HTML5 File API support, IMAP improvements
On the IMAP front, Opera now supports special folders like sent items, spam, and trash. It also better handles duplicate items in Gmail -- such as those which appear in all mail and under your custom labels.
Opera 11.10 now partially supports the HTML5 File API as well, which means your favorite Web apps (like Gmail) may soon begin adding Opera to the list of supported browsers.

The Highs and Lows of Human-Powered Flight
On March 19th 2012, YouTube user jarnosmeets80 uploaded the a video to YouTube entitled "Flying like a bird | part 14/14." In it, a man donning a set of homemade wings and a helmet with a GoPro attached achieves what many wishful-thinkers, scientists and millennia of wingless bipeds have long dreamed of doing: flying. Sadly, one month later the video's creator, filmmaker Floris Kaayk, admitted the whole thing was an elaborate hoax. Skeptics will have been quick to dismiss the video straight away, and anything more than a cursory Google search might have convinced most of the same. But, with more than 7 million views at time of this writing, it's pretty clear that as a land-based species, it doesn't take much for us to suspend our disbelief at the idea of being able to fly. Even if it is just for one minute and 50 seconds. Head past the break to read more.

Skype 5.3 for Windows released, improves mobile video call quality

Add playback hotkeys to Amazon Cloud Player with a Chrome extension
Sure, Amazon's Cloud Player works -- as long as you're in the U.S. or willing to do some tinkering -- but it's fairly simplistic at the moment. There are plenty of features missing which we'd like to see added -- but since Cloud Player is a Web app we don't have to wait for Amazon!
Google Chrome users, for example, can add playback hotkeys with an extension called keyMazony. Once installed, you'll have keyboard control of your Amazon Cloud Player queue. keyMazony commands will work as long as you're in the same Chrome window as Cloud Player, even if its tab doesn't have focus. The key combinations are customizable as well -- just make sure you don't set up a combo that conflicts with another extension or Chrome's built-in keyboard shortcuts.

Zoho Docs 2.0 adds iPad support
Zoho Docs 2.0 has landed in the App Store, and the most notable change is that it's now a universal app. Now you're able to take advantage of the app's mobile productivity powers on your larger iOS device. Retina display support has also been added, as have document sharing options -- which you can utilize in both the viewer and collaboration modes.
Just like the basic Zoho service, the app is available totally free of charge. Paid subscriptions get you additional storage space and start at $3 per month for professional use.

Verizon to offer new 3G-only prepaid plans beginning today
Verizon's got a new set of prepaid plans for smartphone users that are hoping to keep costs down. The monthly plans, which appear to be restricted to a small number of phones unable to access Big Red's LTE network, both offer unlimited talk and text; on the data side, the $60 plan grants you 500MB while $70 bumps that ceiling up to 2GB. How to download and delete individual songs on your iPhone and iPad with iTunes Match
iTunes Match, Apple's streaming service for music, matches your entire music library and allows you to stream music directly to your iPhone or iPad wherever you have a data connection. There may come times where you don't have a data connection and would like to download certain music to your iPhone or iPad for use when you don't have service. As of iOS 6.1, you can now download and delete individual songs, instead of whole albums, right on your iPhone and iPad.
Here's how...
Before proceeding any further, you'll need to make sure you're subscribed to iTunes Match. It's a paid service that Apple offers for $24.99 per year. If you aren't already signed up, here's a guide to get you started before you continue any further.
Once you're all signed up to iTunes Match and have your library matched, continue on.

How to download an individual song on iPhone and iPad with iTunes Match
There are many reasons you may want to physically download music to your iPhone or iPad. Whether you're planning on being on a plane or in an area that doesn't have good cell service, you can download your content from iTunes Match straight to your device for playback anytime.
- Launch the Music app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
- Find the artist name for the song you'd like to download. (You can also use album or song view, whichever you'd prefer to search with.)
- Drill down to the song you want to download by album.
- Next to the name of the song, you'll see a download button to the right. It looks like a cloud with a download icon in the middle. Tap on it.
- You'll notice that the song of your choice has now begun to download to your device. Give it a few seconds to finish download and that's it. It's now physically downloaded onto your device for playback whenever you'd like.
How to delete an individual song on iPhone and iPad with iTunes Match
Storage space can be precious and if you're running out, clearing out songs if you're an iTunes Match subscriber is a perfect option. You'll still be able to play the songs you delete via streaming wirelessly, they just won't be taking up actual space on your iPhone or iPad.
- Launch the Music app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
- Find the name of the artist or album for the song you'd like to delete.
- Drill down to the actual song. You may find the title using whatever search method you'd like.
- You'll notice that there is no download icon next to the song name because it's already downloaded to your device's physical storage.
- Swipe across the name of the song to the right.
- You'll notice that a Delete button has now appeared. Tap on it.
- You should now see a download button appear to the right of the song title. This means it was deleted from your actual iPhone or iPad and you can download it again whenever you want or stream it from wherever you have an active data connection.
- That's all there is to it!
